Praying For Our Children…Every Day

Thursday 11/06/2019

May my children feel secure enough to approach You honestly with the secret struggles of their mind … for You promise to keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in You!
Isaiah 26:3

Wednesday 11/06/2019

Thank You Lord for loving my children enough to make them miserable in their rebellion … for allowing darkness to follow rebellion … for sometimes we need darkness before we can see the tiny portal of light leading to freedom. Thank You for satisfying my children’s longings and filling their hungry souls … I respect and appreciate any method You choose!
Psalms 107:9-10

Tuesday 11/05/2019

As my children mature, I pray they begin to rejoice when they see people acting differently from ‘the world’ … following the Lord in obedience instead! When my children truly begin to serve You … their definition of ‘cool’ will completely change from those imitating Hollywood … to those imitating Christ!
1 Corinthians 13:6

Sunday 11/03/2019

I pray my children will invite the Word to penetrate them through and through with its full power and authority for the purpose of sanctifying them as they are trying to walk with You while battling peer pressure.
John 17:15-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

Saturday 11/02/2019

To live obedient lives … my children are not called to perfection and sinlessness but a lifestyle of confession and repentance when they sin. Rather than living miserably by a set of laws, they must come to see God’s Word as their safe harbor. Obedient lives love and treasure their time reading God’s Word and experiencing the presence of the Spirit working through them.
Matthew 26:42, John 4:34, John 6:38

Friday 11/01/2019

Reveal to my children the secret to experiencing Your constant presence … God walks with and pours blessing upon those walking with Him, not the other way around! May my children learn to walk with God rather than begging Him to walk with them!
2 Corinthians 2:14, Psalms 84:

Wednesday 10/30/2019

As my children are released from bondage and experience freedom in certain parts of their lives … I pray they make the connection that their obedience in those areas set them free. I pray they submit to God’s authority in ALL areas, either all at once, or baby step by baby step until they are totally free!
2 Corinthians 3:17, John 14: 15-17

Tuesday 10/29/2019

Change my children’s attitude. Help them understand that while on this earth, in order to receive victory in their battles and success in their endeavors, they must OBEY You. Your love is unconditional, but the power of Your blessing is only released to the obedient. The first step in obedience is believing You tell the truth through scripture. Give them that wisdom!
Hebrews 4:3

Monday 10/28/2019

When my children find themselves obsessing over things in their life rather than making the most out of each moment, may they STOP and know they are displeasing You … and pray for redirection!
2 Timothy 2:16

Sunday 10/27/2019

Whenever my children pray, they must forgive anything they have against anyone so that their Father in heaven will also forgive them! If they do not, neither will their Father in heaven forgive them!
Mark 11:25-26
