Guide my children along right paths. Dr. Martin Luther King said, “Cowardice asks: Is it safe? Consensus asks: Is it popular? Character asks: Is it right?” Help my children do the right thing, especially when it costs them, when the wrong this is more expedient, or when no one is looking. Let my children experience the exquisite peace and contentment that You have given to me. Then they will crave more and seek opportunities for righteous living… for Your confidential communion and secret counsel are only with those who are upright and in right standing with You. Pr 3:32

As my children mature, give them the right amount of Your wisdom at just the right time. May they steadily grow in Your Word so they don’t become overwhelmed and stumble. Your promises are great … but we must each learn the doors we must walk through in order to receive them. Psalms 112:1

Pride is the bitter enemy of my children. Humility is their dear friend. May I humble myself before God so that humility will be mine. As my children witness my actions they will see with their physical eyes my transformation as I am given a humble heart. They will witness the blessing of God’s strength…

May my children live this day and every day with the knowledge that this could be our last day. May they turn to You in urgency about all matters and not weigh themselves down with their worldly worries and cares pertaining to the business of this life. Lk 21:34
