Give my children a wholesome dread of displeasing You so they will be intrinsically motivated to obey Your commands. Let them experience the light free feeling that flows from doing the ‘right’ thing so that they crave more and truly begin to understand that obedience is not only the root of character but the foundation…

Teach my children to be content regardless of circumstances. Once they finally learn to depend on You to fill their needs they will be free. Free from the bad moods of others, the ugly words of others, the gloom others bring into their day… my children were created with a need only You can fill……

Show my children that their job is to obey your commands and instructions and that Your job is to fight for them and clear the paths You’ve set before them… destroying all roadblocks that are keeping them from entering their place of blessing. I will live each day in praise, thanksgiving, and obedience. As blessing…

My children will learn to be courageous much like they learned to walk. They will see Your outstretched arms and hear Your loving voice saying, “Come, you can do it!” Make them understand that the assurance of Your voice, Your presence is all they need to tread safely into the unknown. May my children recognize who they are… clay in the Potter’s hand. The pressure, spinning and heat may at times feel ‘too much’ for them as their lives are shaped and formed into vessels God can use to bless… as well as bless others. Isa 64:8

As my children mature, I pray they begin to rejoice when they see people acting differently from ‘the world’ … following the Lord in obedience instead! When my children truly begin to serve You … their definition of ‘cool’ will completely change from those imitating Hollywood … to those imitating Christ! 1 Corinthians 13:6
