Keep my children in front of Your mirror, set their gaze on You. As they begin to see their reflection through Your eyes they will see the actions they need to take in order to come in line with who You want them to become. Remind them as often as needed to feel no shame…
Keep my children from believing the lie that the thing they desire most will bring them the happiness they so desperately crave (be it a relationship, their health, a certain possession, financial security, etc…). Teach my children that true happiness comes when they trust You for what they need, knowing if it’s right You’ll provide…
Everyone has problems. Help my children see theirs differently and know that a problem is a sign they have a promise! As they suffer temporary situations or the actions of others they will learn to trust that You are steadfast and Your plan is to bless them… that as they suffer trials… if they persevere……
Help my children understand that the turmoil in their lives is not Your will for them. Show them that strife is the work of Satan. You made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. You were pleased to live in Christ. Let them be, too! Colossians 1:19-20
I pray my children learn this pattern: seek You, listen, trust You, then praise You while they wait! Help my children understand that praising You is the KEY to unlocking Your power into their current situation.
