You planted my children in the garden of their lives. Show them their role in tending that garden … that everything they need is there, but they must work it and take care of it to produce fruit. You give my children all the resources, but they must do their part! Genesis 2:8, 2:15
Reveal to my children that letting their minds become seduced from wholehearted, sincere, and pure devotion to Christ is no different from Eve taking that apple. Both hinge on the test of obedience. Everyone has problems. Help my children see theirs differently and know that a problem is a sign they have a promise! As they suffer temporary situations or the actions of others they will learn to trust that You are steadfast and Your plan is to bless them… that as they suffer trials… if they persevere……
Give my children a hunger for Your word. Place them under the care of teachers and spiritual leaders who are strong Christians so they may further grow in truth. Expose false teachers sent by the enemy to shift their focus and energy to unworthy things. Keep them on guard so they don’t find themselves valuing…
Teach my children to pray for all people, to make their requests, plead for God’s mercy upon them, and give thanks. 1Ti 2:1 I confess the word of God dwells in me. I possess the grace of God. Col 3:16
Lord, I pray my children put all doubts aside regarding the state of their salvation. They have asked You to be their Lord and Savior through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus… and their hearts are being transformed as they work to remove sin from their lives (however slowly… teenagers!)
