Make my children confident and courageous. Take their hand and lead them to start something today that they have been putting off rather than waiting for perfect conditions to begin. Take my hand, too! Ecc 11:4; Dt 1:29-30
To live obedient lives… my children are not called to perfection and sinlessness but a lifestyle of confession and repentance when they sin. Rather than living miserably by a set of laws, they must come to see God’s Word as their safe harbor. Obedient lives love and treasure their time reading God’s Word and experiencing…
Fill my children with joy by revealing their shortcomings. Do not let them erect defenses against their own inadequacies and try to hide their faults from themselves and others. Let them embrace justified criticism for what it is… encouragement towards spiritual growth. Pr 15:5
Let my children rejoice in triumph of their everyday battles and not become weary … it is a sign that God is preparing them for greater battles that will not only result in rich blessing for their own lives but eventually advance the Kingdom of Heaven. 1Samuel 17:37
I pray my children put all anxiety to rest and learn to pray with a grateful heart making their requests known to You… for You promise Your peace in the hearts and minds of those who begin to trust and rely on Christ Jesus! Php 4:6-7
My children have talent and God requires them to use it. They will not spend precious time strengthening the talents they want rather than the ones they already have. 1 Corinthians 12:11
When someone exits my children’s life … that doesn’t mean they are being abandoned … it just means that part of their story is over. May they continue to embrace those that cross their paths, then joyfully send them off at parting time. Ruth 1:14-16, 2Samuel 12:20
