May my children look to God alone for direction and not become dependent on the world to define who they will become.
1Samuel 8:19-20
May my children look to God alone for direction and not become dependent on the world to define who they will become.
1Samuel 8:19-20
When my children feel the favor, benefits, and opportunities that seem too good to be true, as if the stars have lined up and everything is too perfect … I pray they give You the glory. May they walk securely in Your favor in these moments and reject any feeling of discouragement, weariness or exhaustion….
In the midst of painful experiences when they feel rejection by their peers, let my children hear the thousands of angels in joyful assembly. Let my children come into your presence through acts obedience. Give them patience and kindness, the true expression of love for all people, especially those that hurt them. Hebrews 12:22, 12:25,…
Of course my children will sin, that is not the point. May they freely admit their sin so they will be forgiven and continuously cleansed from all unrighteousness. 1Jn 1:9 I confess that the Lord is good. I possess His mercy and loving-kindness and mercy. Ps 136:1
Reveal to my children their areas of weakness and help them avoid situations that tempt them to disobey You. Help them grow and mature but make them aware of danger zones so they don’t put themselves in harm’s way. They will run from temptations today! 2Ti 2:22
I pray my children don’t become lifelong whiners… and I pray even harder that I don’t get sucked in by those who do! Give my children warrior spirits so they don’t freak out when they encounter trials (at least not for long!) Let me teach them (by example) to rise in the midst of adversity…
Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in my children’s hearts and make them wise. They will use His words to teach and council each other and sing to God with thankful hearts. Col 3:16
