When my children are on my last nerve and I feel overcome with irritability, selfishness, anger, or resentment for my present circumstances, may I recognize the root of the problem… which is NOT my children, but my hungry soul needing to rest in You. Just as I become a grouch when I experience physical hunger……

My children will learn to be courageous much like they learned to walk. Do not let my children be deceived into believing they are immune to the judgment of our Lord because they reject his authority in their hearts and minds. In the midst of painful experiences when they feel rejection by their peers, let my children hear the thousands of angels in joyful assembly. May my children add You to their speed dial … calling on You first when they have a problem. Their faith grows as they stand firm and believe You can bring comfort and victory to their lives. 2Chronicles 20:17

Lord, help my children run with exuberance. Give them endurance by stripping off every weight that slows them down. Teach them to keep their eyes on Jesus and know that they are His joy. Heb 12:1-2
