Help my children grasp that Your promises apply only under covenant relationship. Let them understand that You never break Your promises… but if my children choose to break covenant with You by living in unrepentant disobedience… they have broken the covenant and ultimately their conduit in receiving Your promises. 1Ch 28:9

May my children walk in all that You hold for them. May their lives transform to be a place of refuge and protection from a broken world. The world is broken but my children are NOT because they are the redeemed of the Lord… saved by the one and only source of salvation… Jesus Christ!…

When my children feel the favor, benefits, and opportunities that seem too good to be true, as if the stars have lined up and everything is too perfect … I pray they give You the glory. May they walk securely in Your favor in these moments and reject any feeling of discouragement, weariness or exhaustion….

When Jesus died he did not leave my children an inheritance of junk, he left them His most prized possession… His peace. You reveal things to my children they can neither prove nor explain. May they stop living beneath their spiritual privilege and LISTEN to the promptings warning them to avoid certain situations or certain people … I pray they stay connected to You so this incredible insight into discernment may always be present in their lives….

Give my children a wholesome dread of displeasing You so they will be intrinsically motivated to obey Your commands. Let them experience the light free feeling that flows from doing the ‘right’ thing so that they crave more and truly begin to understand that obedience is not only the root of character but the foundation…
