You have given my children the exact tools to tackle today. I pray their minds stay present and focused on living today like it was the most important day of their life… for tomorrow You will give them what they need to tackle tomorrow. It is irrelevant that they may not have today what it is they will need tomorrow and a complete waste of time to worry about it. May their faith be strong so they trust You to provide for them. May they not waste one brain cell or resource of today fretting about tomorrow… for if they do my children will come up short today! Mt 9:34
Let me know my children’s weakness, but show them their strengths; feel their fears but fortify their faith; see their anxieties but free their spirit; recognize their disabilities but emphasize their possibilities. Pr 27:17 & William Alan Ward
Don’t let my children wait for the perfect conditions to occur before they take steps to reach the visions you have placed in them. May the power of Your Word through their faith in Jesus Christ propel them to take action to begin each new journey … and most importantly, when they are experiencing storms…
My children will merrily traverse the path you have laid before them and never give up, even during trials. You will send wise travel companions to accompany them when needed, equip them with everything they need to persevere, and send encouraging supporters when they must walk alone. They are blessed. Jas 1:12
Prayer is more than a string of words or a list of requests; it is the act of intimacy with God. Coming into intimacy with You is the principal purpose of prayer. Let my children experience Your amazing presence through their prayers so they will know the power of keeping those lines of communication open….
As my children mature allow me to give them the dignity of making more and more of their own mistakes and then letting them learn from those experiences. They belong to You not me… keep me from hindering You from working in their lives by over parenting. (Rom 12:16, 14:3, 14:23)
Do not let my children’s hearts be troubled, distressed, or agitated. Show them the Way, the Truth, and the Life… give me the words to pray over them to help my children see You and know that You are the living God able to calm their hearts. Jn 14:1,6
