As my children mature allow me to give them the dignity of making more and more of their own mistakes and then letting them learn from those experiences. They belong to You not me… keep me from hindering You from working in their lives by over parenting. Ro 12:16, 14:3, 14:23
Reveal to my children the secret to experiencing Your constant presence … God walks with and pours blessing upon those walking with Him, not the other way around! May my children learn to walk with God rather than begging Him to walk with them! 2 Corinthians 2:14, Psalms 84:5
May my children remain practical and stand firm against the enemy using the tools they have worked with all of their lives. Just as You prepared David to battle Goliath with a slingshot and a stone, thank You for preparing my children to face their giants according to their experiences and skill set. Samuel 17:39
The seeds have been planted! My children have talents they haven’t discovered and dreams that haven’t been filled. Give them the faith and patience to know they are evolving… to keep them humble in seasons of great harvest… and strong in times of lack. Ge 2:8
Let me experience much joy and comfort from my children’s love, specifically their love for others. This kindness so often refreshes the hearts of God’s people. They worship You in serving others and behave as true disciples of Christ. Phm 1:7
When my children are knowingly or unknowingly walking in sin, cause their hearts to soften. May they hear and heed Your messengers rather than mock Your rebukes. Yes, gossip really does sting back and those innocent white lies are still entrances for the enemy. There are natural consequences to sin… may my children repent and…
