Lord, help my children run with exuberance. Give them endurance by stripping off every weight that slows them down. Teach them to keep their eye on Jesus and that they are His joy. Heb 12:1-2

Give my children a hunger for Your word. Place them under the care of teachers and spiritual leaders who are strong Christians so they may further grow in truth. May my children find the blessings in their trials. Often times it takes the presence of a storm to find peace… as they pass through the storm and walk into the eye they find Jesus. I pray my children find Him without the need of a storm… but if that is not the case keep…

I pray my children don’t become lifelong whiners… and I pray even harder that I don’t get sucked in by those who do! Give my children warrior spirits so they don’t freak out when they encounter trials (at least not for long!) Let me teach them (by example) to rise in the midst of adversity…

My children will not be hindered by their past mistakes. When thoughts of hurt and betrayal enter their minds today, remind my children that You gave Your Son for their forgiveness… so they appreciate Your ultimate act of sacrifice and live a free, peaceful, and joy filled life. Once their mind is no longer cluttered…
