Do not let my children develop an attitude of superiority. You created them to carry the burdens of others … and their load will require assistance, too. Teach my children to feel good, invincible, happy and free. Show them that the short lived relief from pain that comes from sin will NEVER compare to the eternal power of the Holy Spirit available to them every second of every day. Reveal to me the areas of my life that I have become dependent…

Let my children savor the fruits of their own industry. Give them a spirit of independence so they taste the exquisite reward of freedom… then let them readily share the overflowing abundance of their hearts and their treasure… for when they truly love others my children will begin to see God’s hand working in this…

Prayer is more than a string of words or a list of requests; it is the act of intimacy with God. Coming into intimacy with You is the principal purpose of prayer. Let my children experience Your amazing presence through their prayers so they will know the power of keeping those lines of communication open….

Give my children the best view of reality so they may have the clearest priorities. They will understand You are worthy and order their existence around You. Teach me to do the same! Rev 8:6-11,19  

Please make Your presence know to my children so they may know and experience Your joy. Don’t let them depend on our world for happiness for if they do their only joy will come from reaction to circumstances … but You can plaster a smile on their faces that will puzzle even the deepest cynic…
