Let my children recognize that the little rainbows in their lives (the small needs met at just the right time) are the signs that You care for them. I will watch for these moments in their lives also and together will worship You in gratitude and love. Ge 9:13-15

Teach my children the power of Selah (pause and reflect.) Don’t allow them to race through life without capturing the meaning. When they experience those ‘ahhh’ moments, they will pause, give thanks for Your constant companionship in their lives, and then strive to comprehend that You were there all along. Ps 3:1-8

I pray my children practice hospitality, serving others through the overflow of their blessings, especially other believers. Gal 6:10

Show my children that keeping score is a sign of immaturity. Show them that forgiveness is defined by their actions … and that if they truly forgive someone who offended or hurt them, their actions towards that person will communicate that fact. I pray my children put all anxiety to rest and learn to pray with grateful hearts making their requests known to You … for You promise Your peace in the hearts and minds of those who begin to trust and rely on Christ Jesus! Philippians 4:6-7

Give my children perspective, not letting them become too attached to this world. Forget Disneyland and European vacations … give them visions of Heaven and the perfection that abounds there … for we are each on earth for only a while but those who repent and turn to God through Jesus Christ will spend eternity…
