Take whatever faith my children possess and work with it! Your Word is filled with thousands of promises. May my children use the index at the end of their bibles, find the promises they need to carry them through their current trial… and then believe You that You are able and willing to deliver! May they see me carrying around scriptures tucked in my pockets, enjoy the warmth of my peace and joy… to want what I have and get it for themselves! Ro 4:17-21, Heb 11:1
Keep my children from jumping to false conclusions. When they see each other seemingly displeasing You, let them take the time to ask for each other’s explanation. Most likely, all is well, as the Israelites discovered of their brethren in the matter of the Lord’s alter near the Jordan. Joshua 22
May my children reach deep and put on strong and courageous behaviors and move forward doing what you have called them to do. As they remember that You are with them, my children will fear not nor be dismayed. You promise not to fail or forsake them as they complete the work You have set…
Our world offers powerful substitutes for needs that only God can meet. Show my children that it is their union with Christ that makes them complete. He is the only answer. Colossians 2:8-10
When my children feel trapped and alone along the path You set before them, tell them to fear not and stand firm, confident, and undismayed. You promised to fight for them so they will not lose their peace as they rest in the comfort of Your embrace… like a small child in his father’s arms….
When my children throw a pity-party for themselves, help them stop! Open their eyes to the immediate needs of others around them and let them find ways to help, prayers to pray and, above all … offer unconditional love. Psalms 25:16
Give my children a humble spirit that they may come before You and ask You to help their weakness of faith… so that You can begin transforming their heart and teaching them that all things are possible to those that believe. (Mark 9:23-24)
