I pray my children’s lives become a conduit to bring Your love and purpose to fruition in the lives of those around them. Give me the wisdom to cleverly get Your Word into them until the day they begin to crave time alone with you … and that time will come! Isaiah 55:10-11
I want to be a good example for my children. Help me understand that true joy and peace are directly tied to my faith. If I want more joy, or more peace … I must simply ask You for more faith. Just as eating pie brings a smile to my face, asking for more faith…
Encourage my children to share each other’s problems and troubles. Help them keep each other on the right path being careful not to fall into the same temptations themselves. Give them Your wisdom so they can gently and humbly help others overcome sin. Gal 6:1-2
Keep my children from believing the lie that the thing they desire most will bring them the happiness they so desperately crave (be it a relationship, their health, a certain possession, financial security, etc…). Teach my children that true happiness comes when they trust You for what they need, knowing if it’s right You’ll provide…
Show my children that the true church isn’t a building but Christ’s body. Help them see that they are a vital part of that body and lead them to take their place. Open their hearts to receive Christ so they may receive the benefits of His presence. Eph 1:22-23
Give my children tunnel vision … help them see what You see. A lost friend doesn’t result in a life of loneliness; a bad grade doesn’t result in a life of poverty, and a pimple doesn’t mark them for a life of failure. May they walk by faith and not by sight, trusting You to…
