Your word teaches us that if anyone will not work, neither let them eat. As my children mature, help me identify appropriate ways to hold them accountable for idleness and not taking care of their business!

1Thessalonians 3:11-12
Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in my children’s hearts and make them wise. They will use His words to teach and council each other and sing to God with thankful hearts. Colossians 3:16
When facing our fears, You command us to banish all cowardice and flinching from our spirits, to not become depressed, dismayed or unnerved. Please remove any of these traits from my children so they are not blocked from entering their places of blessing. Dt 31:8
Dear Lord, in the face of my children’s most grievous trouble, remind them to bend down and pray, that nothing is too hard for You. Your word tells my children that You will bend down and listen to them… but first they must submit to Your authority and have faith that You do indeed have…
Lord, help my children run with exuberance. Give them endurance by stripping off every weight that slows them down. Teach them to keep their eyes on Jesus and know that they are His joy. Heb 12:1
Do not let my children develop an attitude of superiority. You created them to carry the burdens of others… and their load will require assistance, too. Let them receive the understanding and concept of teamwork and allow themselves to need help. The people You then place alongside them will take their breath away! 1Ki 10:20
Let my children run in stride with those who (like them) are committed to lives of purity. Let them draw on examples of commitment to the Lord, like Eric Lidell (Chariots of Fire) and my life as encouragement to pursue their faith and finish their race. 2Timothy 2:22
