My children have a hope and a future. Help them to focus on that, not the past. Use their pain to show them how to help bring healing to others … that it is the broken who become masters at mending. Isaiah 43:18-19

Surround my children with people who celebrate and worship You. May they love and be kind to all people, especially those who don’t know You… keep them from adopting the ways of those who do not trust You… so they do not fall victim to the enemy. Jos 23:14

Show my children that keeping score is a sign of immaturity. Show them that forgiveness is defined by their actions… and that if they truly forgive someone who offended or hurt them, their actions towards that person will communicate that fact. Rather than withdraw their spirit and retreat into a protective shell around those who…

Give my children the wisdom of Joseph. To know that God is in control of our lives at all times, even in long times of trouble. May they grow in this time so they will be prepared to accomplish God’s will when the pieces fall into place. And they will! Ge 45:8  

Help my children understand what it means to honor one another above themselves. Let them experience the unexpected joy of helping others and the unbelievable peace that comes when they stop believing that their way is the only way. Ro 12:10

I pray my children learn this pattern: seek You, listen, trust You, then praise You while they wait! Help my children understand that praising You is the KEY to unlocking Your power into their current situation. It is all about faith… and when their faces are long and their spirits are hopeless… their faith suffers…
