Equip my children with all they need for doing Your will. Produce in them, through the power of Jesus Christ all that is pleasing to You. Hebrews 13:20
Give my children the wisdom to see that Your command to love God above all others is about actions. Love is a verb… They must seek Your presence and Your wisdom through bible study, prayer, and good teachers of Your Word (make me one of those!) so they will be led by the Holy Spirit…
As my children charge through their day and face the many battles waiting for them outside our door (and in their own hearts) make Your presence known. Let them know You have their back so they may confidently traverse the path You have set before them. Deuteronomy 20:1
Focus my children. Reveal to them the purpose You have placed in their hearts so they don’t waste time and energy chasing someone else’s dream. Proverbs 4:27
Of course my children will sin, that is not the point. May they freely admit their sin so they will be forgiven and continuously cleansed from all unrighteousness. 1Jn 1:9
Help my children see that becoming a person of discipline has nothing to do with talent or conditions… it is about choice! As they work to reach the goals they have made for themselves, give them the spirit of practice… keep that fire of desire burning in them and the discipline needed to accomplish what…
