Keep my children from believing the lie that the thing they desire most will bring them the happiness they so desperately crave (be it a relationship, their health, a certain possession, financial security, etc…). Teach my children that true happiness comes when they trust You for what they need, knowing if it’s right You’ll provide…

Help my children grasp that Your promises apply only under covenant relationship. Let them understand that You never break Your promises … but if my children choose to break covenant with You by living in unrepentant disobedience … they have broken the covenant and ultimately their conduit in receiving Your promises. 1 Chronicles 28:9

Nothing blocks promise like prayers NOT prayed. In order to receive Your blessings my children must humble themselves and ask! Jas 4:2  

Teach my children to pray heartfelt and continuous prayers and reveal to them the life changing power available to those who live a life pleasing to you … may the resurrected power of Christ dwell in my children so they may become a mighty force for Your kingdom leading Your sheep back home! Let my children organize their time and follow through with their plans. In doing so, they won’t be consumed by the busyness of life and the frantic “catch- up” which steals their peace. They will then experience a multitude of quiet moments throughout their day. These still quiet moments are the gateway to Your presence…
