Show my children that keeping score is a sign of immaturity. Show them that forgiveness is defined by their actions… and that if they truly forgive someone who has offended or hurt them… their actions towards that person will communicate that fact. My children will set clear objectives. Their focus will reveal the deep wells of energy within them that are just waiting to be tapped. They will achieve great things today and make a difference in our world. Pr 4:25-27

When my children throw a pity-party for themselves, help them stop! Open their eyes to the immediate needs of others around them and let them find ways to help, prayers to pray, and above all… offer unconditional love. Ps 25:16

There is no sweeter or more powerful word in the human language than the name of Jesus. May my children remember this fact when adversity comes and release the power of the living God with the utterance of a single word, Jesus. Acts 3:16; 4:10,30; John 20:31

Do not let my children become discouraged by their past mistakes. It’s over! Your word says that you heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Open my children’s hearts so your Spirit may pour into them and get to work. Ps 147:3

As my children mature, I pray they begin to rejoice when they see people acting differently from ‘the world’… following the Lord in obedience instead! When my children truly begin to serve You… their definition of ‘cool’ will completely change from those imitating Hollywood… to those imitating Christ!  1 Co 13:6
