  When my children are on my last nerve and I feel overcome with irritability, selfishness, anger, or resentment for my present circumstances, may I recognize the root of the problem… which is NOT my children, but my hungry soul needing to rest in You. Dear Lord, in the face of my children’s most grievous trouble, remind them to bend down and pray, that nothing is too hard for You. Your word tells my children that You will bend down and listen to them … but first they must submit to Your authority and have faith that You do indeed…

You reveal things to my children they can neither prove nor explain. Give my children a new heart and put a new spirit into them. May their hearts soft and able to feel the exquisite pain of the piercing of your arrows… so that their hearts are no longer hardened against the piercing of Your word and the teachings of our Master. Eze 36:26  

Teach my children that earthly prosperity is NOT the goal but the result! Help them understand that seeking Your will then following it is the goal… for they will become so filled with joy, peace, and love that prosperity will simply become a fringe benefit… the frosting on the cake… and every parent knows that…
