When my children find themselves condemning others, let that be a clue that they are not receiving forgiveness for their own sin. Guilt and condemnation tell my children that their sins are too big for God’s forgiveness. Help them adopt a humble attitude and forgive themselves the way God has. Isaiah 43:25 

Show my children that keeping score is a sign of immaturity. Show them that forgiveness is defined by their actions … and that if they truly forgive someone who offended or hurt them, their actions towards that person will communicate that fact. My children will be strong, courageous, and firm in the face of their enemies; they will fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is you, the Lord our God who goes with them. Thank you for the promise to not fail them or forsake them. Dt 31:6

Keep my children from busying themselves with other people’s affairs rather than doing their own work. I will correct them as needed without becoming weary or losing heart in doing right. I will be consistent. 1Th 3:11-13  

Don’t let any unwholesome talk come out of my mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up. My children will know my criticism is for their benefit and not feel the sting but only the comfort of my hand leading them in the way of God. Eph 4:29

I trust Christ to save me. Use my life to teach my children that God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith, not their own goodness. Let them experience the mighty power that raised Christ from the dead. Php 3:9-10
