Work in my children; give them the desire to obey You and the power to do what pleases You. Philippians 2:13

I pray my children hear You when You speak to them… through pastors, their Bibles, nature, songs, whispers, and sometimes my voice. You speak to them throughout the day gently nudging them in the direction of Your will… may they seek You and be aware of Your constant presence. Rev 2:29

Don’t let my children close their eyes to Your goodness because of any hurt they are nursing. Help them hold on to what is good and keep them away from every kind of evil. 1 Th 5:16-22

Let my life be a reminder to my children that we must obey the commands of God revealed to us through scripture. Many things are kept secret and for those we aren’t responsible … but where scripture is clear … there are no ‘ifs’ or ‘buts’ nor exceptions. Deuteronomy 29:29 

Make my house strong so the enemy can’t use us to hurt each other. As I parent Your remarkable children … I will keep them from hunger, anger, loneliness, and exhaustion … that is when they become vulnerable and make bad decisions. Thank You for loving me and sharing this wisdom with me this morning….

Give my children the wisdom necessary to understand the magnitude of Christ’s sacrifice. You teach us that sin has earthly consequences and You also teach us how to avoid the eternal consequences of our sin. Open my children’s hearts and make them tender… may they feel the pain of their own sin so that they…
