I want to be a good example for my children. Help me understand that true joy and peace are directly tied to my faith. If I want more joy, or more peace… I must simply ask You for more faith. Just as eating pie brings a smile to my face, asking for more faith brings…

Let my children savor the fruits of their own industry. Give them a spirit of independence so they taste the exquisite reward of freedom … then let them readily share the overflowing abundance of their hearts and their treasure … for when they truly love others my children will begin to see God’s hand working…

I know all about sin! Let my children admit their shame to me so that I can help relieve their guilt, lighten the heaviness, and restore their spirits. I pray they take my hand… as I know the way to the cross! Gal 6:1

Keep my children in front of Your mirror. Set their gaze on You. As they begin to see their reflection through Your eyes they will see the actions they need to take in order to come in line with who You want them to become. Remind them as often as needed to feel no shame…

Today, each of my children will encounter at least one person who is hurting… whether they recognize the pain or not.
