When Jesus died he did not leave my children an inheritance of junk, he left them His most prized possession… His peace. I pray my children learn the combination to the safe (submission to the Holy Spirit) and choose to withdraw peace from their ‘trust account’ daily. I say choose because it is up to them… I pray their vision increases through faith so they may ‘see’ and embrace all that Christ has accomplished and bequeathed to them! Col 3:15, Jn 14:27, Gal 5:22, Jn 14:1
Thank You Lord for loving my children enough to make them miserable in their rebellion… for allowing darkness to follow rebellion… for sometimes we need darkness before we can see the tiny portal of light leading to freedom. Thank You for satisfying my children’s longings and filling their hungry souls… I respect and appreciate any…
Teach my children the secret of living in every situation, how to get along happily whether they have much or little: For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. Php 4:12-13 I confess that I am quick to hear, slow to anger, and slow to speak….
Give my children the drive to know You intimately, then help them understand it won’t happen overnight. Let my children witness me taking the time and effort to become deeply acquainted with You so that they will have the faith to pursue a relationship with You that is so close that you will walk together…
Help my children understand that many are called to God but few are chosen. They must put on the robe of righteousness when presenting themselves before God. Show them that Jesus Christ is that robe and then help dress them for the rest of their lives in your eternal garment. Mt 22:14
The seeds have been planted! My children have talents they haven’t discovered and dreams that haven’t been filled. Give them the faith and patience to know they are evolving … to keep them humble in seasons of great harvest … and strong in times of lack. Genesis 2:8
I pray my children NEVER ignore the poor… for he who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be answered. Pr 21:13
