I pray my children practice hospitality, serving others through the overflow of their blessings, especially other believers. Gal 6:10
As my children mature, I pray they begin to rejoice when they see people acting differently from ‘the world’ … following the Lord in obedience instead! When my children truly begin to serve You … their definition of ‘cool’ will completely change from those imitating Hollywood … to those imitating Christ! 1 Corinthians 13:6
Let my children be fire lighters, inspiring those around them to dream big. Reveal to them those phrases they use that tear others down so that they will become effective in lighting the fire of passion throughout their lifetime… let it start today. (Jer 20:9)
Show my children that great wealth misappropriated is the ruin of many people. Fill my children with purpose and promise… a drive to work hard and may they prosper… ultimately and faithfully investing their increase in You rather than hoard it for overindulgent pleasure and self-gratification. Jas 5:1-5
Help my children understand that they will need people to help fulfill Your purpose for their life and get them where they need to go next. Let them see me humble myself to others as well as honor those God has placed in my life. Romans 16:3
When someone exits my children’s life… that doesn’t mean they are being abandoned… it just means that part of their story is over. May they continue to embrace those that cross their paths then joyfully send them off at parting time. Ruth 1:14-16, 2Sa 12:20
