Monday Prayer 3/8/10

Nothing blocks promise like prayers NOT prayed. In order to receive Your blessings my children must humble themselves and ask! Jas 4:2

Do not let my children value what is worthy by the measure of this world. They will not fear displeasing their peers and being left out of certain circles, rather, they will develop a wholesome dread of displeasing You. Is 8:12-13  

As my children mature, I pray they begin to rejoice when they see people acting differently from ‘the world’… following the Lord in obedience instead! When my children truly begin to serve You… their definition of ‘cool’ will completely change from those imitating Hollywood… to those imitating Christ!  1 Co 13:6

I pray my children stand firm and NEVER give in to a coldness of heart. May they never allow the enemy to talk them into protecting themselves relationally by shutting their hearts up in a steel box. Matthew 24:12

Help my children understand that the turmoil in their lives is not Your will for them. Show them that strife is the work of Satan. You made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. You were pleased to live in Christ. Let them be, too! Col…

Help my children see that they were given the affection of compassion so that they can protect lives by helping one another. We were created by one God, descended from one man, connected by the law of kinship and should love everyone. Gal 6:2, Lactantius
