As my children mature, give them the right amount of Your wisdom at just the right time. May they steadily grow in Your Word so they don’t become overwhelmed and stumble. Your promises are great … but we must each learn the doors we must walk through in order to receive them. Psalms 112:1

Work in my children; give them the desire to obey You and the power to do what pleases You. Philippians 2:13

Reveal to my children their areas of weakness and help them avoid situations that tempt them to disobey You. Help them grow and mature but make them aware of danger zones so they don’t put themselves in harm’s way. They will run from temptations today! 2Timothy 2:22

The next time my children are offered an invitation to a pity party, their own or to that of a friend, I pray they turn it down. Let them become so filled with gratitude for all the good in their lives and may their eyesight become so sharp that they are able to point out…

Teach my children to live in Your will by giving them the resources they need minute by minute as they plunge into their unique adventures with You. We cannot produce peace, it is a fruit of the Spirit. When my children received Christ they also received His peace… they just don’t always know how to activate it. May they allow the Prince of Peace to govern their lives because it is in circumstances where my children submit to His will (not theirs)…
