with irritability, selfishness, anger, or resentment for my present
circumstances, may I recognize the root of the problem … which
is NOT my children, but my hungry soul needing to rest in You. Just as I become a grouch when I experience physical hunger … I become even grouchier when I am experiencing spiritual hunger!

Do not let my children value what is worthy by the measure of this world. They will not fear displeasing their peers and being left out of certain circles, rather, they will develop a wholesome dread of displeasing You. Is 8:12-13
Let the spirit of Christ grow strong in my children, for that is the assurance that they will share in His glory. May Christ’s mighty power mature in them so they can share His glory with others. Col 1:27

Lord, help my children run with exuberance. Give them endurance by stripping off every weight that slows them down. Teach them to keep their eyes on Jesus and know that they are His joy. Hebrews 12:1-2
Help my children see that constantly seeking council from friends is a sign they aren’t hearing and understanding Your voice. Gently correct their sins so that their hearts will be pure and they can receive Your words. Matthew 5:8
