Teach my children the power of Selah (pause and reflect). Don’t allow them to race through life without capturing the meaning. When they experience those ‘ah ha’ moments, they will pause, give thanks for Your constant companionship in their lives, and then strive to comprehend that You were there all along. Psalms 3:1-8

Show my children that the true church isn’t a building but Christ’s body. Help them see that they are a vital part of that body and lead them to take their place. Open their hearts to receive Christ so they may receive the benefits of His presence. Eph 1:22-23

Give my children perspective, not letting them become too attached to this world. Forget Disneyland and European vacations … give them visions of Heaven and the perfection that abounds there … for we are each on earth for only a while but those who repent and turn to God through Jesus Christ will spend eternity…

For their own good, I pray my children make up their minds to walk with You and follow Your plan! Eph 1:11

Don’t let anyone lead my children astray with empty philosophy and high sounding nonsense that comes from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world… and not from Christ. Col 2:8

Develop my children’s natural abilities and place opportunities in front of them that line up with those abilities so they can discover what they love to do. Lead them in the direction of that beloved endeavor, place other people in their paths that encourage them to stay the course, and most of all, give them…
