Work in my children; give them the desire to obey You and the power to do what pleases You.
Philippians 2:13
My children have talent and God requires them to use it. They will not spend precious time strengthening the talents they want rather than the ones they already have. 1 Co 12:11
Dear Lord, in the face of my children’s most grievous trouble, remind them to bend down and pray, that nothing is too hard for You. Your word tells my children that You will bend down and listen to them… but first they must submit to Your authority and have faith that You do indeed have…
Take my children’s hand so they will feel the warmth of Yours. They will not seek pleasure from worldly desires that lead to destruction but rather seek experiences that draw them closer to You. They will give and receive only love. Deuteronomy 31:8
I Pray my married children never mistreat their spouse … not only will they hurt the one they love … they will block the blessings from the ONE who loves them! 1 Peter 3:7
As my children mature, I pray they begin to rejoice when they see people acting differently from ‘the world’… following the Lord in obedience instead! When my children truly begin to serve You… their definition of ‘cool’ will completely change from those imitating Hollywood… to those imitating Christ! 1Co 13:6
As my children mature allow me to give them the dignity of making more and more of their own mistakes and then letting them learn from those experiences. They belong to You not me … keep me from hindering You from working in their lives by over parenting. Romans 12:16, 14:3, 14:23
