My children will be patient and kind. They will not be irritable, rude, selfish, easily angered and will keep no record of when they have been wronged. Let me be a living example of your definition of love so they will grow in knowledge and wisdom and reveal this kind of love to future generations….

May my children have good success in all of their endeavors, producing the desired results … and maintaining a heart filled with joy regardless of circumstance. My children will make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person that offends them. They will be bound together by love and let the peace that comes from Christ rule their hearts. Colossians 3:13-15

Speak tenderly to my children after You chastise them so they will be more open to receive Your forgiveness and subsequently obey Your voice. Give me a tender spirit also, so my discipline will be an earthly example of the freedom that follows repentance and results in obedience. Isaiah 40:1-2

My children will not have the kind of faith that allows them to be lazy or apathetic while waiting on the Lord. They will use all that has been given to them to do all that they can… then trust God to do the rest. Prov. 16:9
