As my children mature, I pray they begin to rejoice when they see people acting differently from ‘the world’ … following the Lord in obedience instead! I pray my children seek You for a vision for their future… so that I can become their biggest cheerleader. My spirit agrees with theirs when they are walking in Your will so that I get to support rather than correct! They will not allow facts or naysayers to interfere with their God given visions…

Develop my children’s natural abilities and place opportunities in front of them that line up with those abilities so they can discover what they love to do. Fill my children with joy by revealing their shortcomings. Do not let them erect defenses against their own inadequacies and try to hide their faults from themselves and others. Let them embrace justified criticism for what it is … encouragement toward spiritual growth. Proverbs 15:5

Let me experience much joy and comfort from my children’s love, specifically their love for others. This kindness so often refreshes the hearts of God’s people. They worship You in serving others and behave as true disciples of Christ. Philemon 1:7
