Make my children confident and courageous. Take their hand and lead them to start something today that they have been putting off rather than waiting for perfect conditions to begin. Take my hand, too! Ecc 11:4; Dt 1:29-30
Show my children that keeping score is a sign of immaturity. Show them that forgiveness is defined by their actions… and that if they truly forgive someone who has offended or hurt them… their actions towards that person will communicate that fact. Let my children rejoice in triumph of their everyday battles and not become weary… it is a sign that God is preparing them for greater battles that will not only result in rich blessing for their own lives but eventually advance the Kingdom of Heaven. 1Sa 17:37
Build strong character in my children by teaching them the importance of self discipline. Their greatest victories will be their internal ones. They will set their standards high by following the example of the spiritual strength and character needed to accomplish great things for You. Pr 16:32, Mt 16:24
When my children complain they become confused when it backfires! May they learn to simply ask for what they need or want from me instead of assuming, demanding or complaining! Philippians 2:14
