May my children look to God alone for direction and not become dependent on the world to define who they will become.
1Sa 8:19-20
Help my children do what they should so they may enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done their work well. They are responsible for their own conduct and don’t need to compare themselves to anyone else. Galatians 6:4-5
As a new day dawns, show my children what old ‘thing or habit’ they need to get rid of. They will not be held back by the past. They will move boldly into this day, their future… with no baggage or regret! Isa 43:18
My children will acknowledge the personal corruptions present in their hearts and give those to You, but they will not use them as a crutch to justify their shortcomings. They will present their pure unblemished hearts before You by covering themselves with the blood of Jesus… and they will live free. Lev 2:12
Help my children understand that many are called to God but few are chosen. They must put on the robe of righteousness when presenting themselves before God. Show them that Jesus Christ is that robe and then help dress them for the rest of their lives in Your eternal garment. Mt 22:14
You have given my children the exact tools to tackle today. I pray their minds stay present and focused on living today like it was the most important day of their lives … for tomorrow You will give them what they need to tackle tomorrow. It is irrelevant that they may not have today what…
