Don’t let my children close their eyes to Your goodness because of any hurt they are nursing. Help them hold on to what is good and keep them away from every kind of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
May my children’s ears be opened to the voice of reason. God will send wisdom through others, especially in the area of vengeance… and if my children withstand the urge to repay evil for evil… God will fight their battles and my children will see victory! 1Sa 25
Left alone my children are vulnerable and incomplete. Surround them with Christians of all ages who continually motivate them to love Christ better and better. Create among them a spirit of Christian community where it isn’t odd or weird for them to reach out to each other for prayer or spiritual based encouragement. 3John 1:1-2
When my children feel the favor, benefits, and opportunities that seem too good to be true, as if the stars have lined up and everything is too perfect … I pray they give You the glory. May they walk securely in Your favor in these moments and reject any feeling of discouragement, weariness or exhaustion….
Let my children experience the exquisite peace and contentment that You have given to me. Then they will crave more and seek opportunities for righteous living… for Your confidential communion and secret counsel are only with those who are upright and in right standing with You. Pr 3:32
May my children be anchored in Your ways so they don’t drift away when circumstances begin to change. Yes, problems will come but give them the wisdom to only glance their way rather than obsessing over them! Jas 1:6-8
Help my children see that becoming a person of discipline has nothing to do with talent or conditions … it is about choice! As they work to reach the goals they have made for themselves, give them the spirit of practice … keep that fire of desire burning in them and the discipline needed to…
