Dear Lord, search my children and know their hearts, try them and know their thoughts, and show them if there is any wicked or hurtful way in them… and lead them to the way everlasting! Ps 139:23-24
Dear Lord, search my children and know their hearts, try them and know their thoughts, and show them if there is any wicked or hurtful way in them… and lead them to the way everlasting! Ps 139:23-24
My children have a keen awareness that though the mountains be shaken and the hills removed, God’s unfailing love for them will not be shaken nor His covenant of peace be removed. May they rest in the fact that the Lord has compassion on them. I sure do! Isaiah 54:10
Fill my children with joy by revealing their shortcomings. Do not let them erect defenses against their own inadequacies and try to hide their faults from themselves and others. Let them embrace justified criticism for what it is… encouragement towards spiritual growth. Pr 15:5
When my children recognize they are worrying about something, prompt them to repent then turn to You in gratitude for what they already have … and prayer to strengthen and prepare them for the task at hand. Philippians 4:6
Lord, let me hear the sweet comfort of Your voice. Those moments when my mind becomes sharp, clear, focused and completely consumed by my connection to You. My children will benefit as I carry them along my path, teaching them to walk with You also, and then rejoicing as they recognize Your voice and follow…
When my children throw a pity-party for themselves, help them stop! Open their eyes to the immediate needs of others around them and let them find ways to help, prayers to pray, and above all… offer unconditional love. Ps 25:16
Use me to fill up anything that may still be missing in my children’s faith. Make their love grow and overflow for each other and to everyone else so that Christ will make their hearts strong, blameless, and holy when they stand before You on judgment day. Thessalonians 3:12-13
