Help my children do what they should so they may enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done their work well. They are responsible for their own conduct and don’t need to compare themselves to anyone else. Galatians 6:4-5 

May my children remember our talks with joy and want to spend time with me as much as I want to be with them. I receive comfort in my own suffering when my children remain strong in their faith. How I thank God for them! 1Thessalonians 3:7 

Fill my children with joy. Teach them to know that true joy comes from thankfulness and displaying gratitude through their actions. Thank You for rescuing them from the kingdom of darkness and placing them in the Kingdom of Your Son! Colossians 1:11-13 

Let no one deceive my children with persuasive arguments. Give them complete understanding that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ. Knit my children together with strong ties to other believers so they will always abide in You. Colossians 2:2-4 

Reveal to my children Your role as Father. Use me as an exam- ple. Let them experience the snapshot of peace that comes from asking and receiving from me so they will have the confidence and motivation to tell You what they need and thank You for all You have done. Then they will experience…

My children have a keen awareness that though the mountains be shaken and the hills removed, God’s unfailing love for them will not be shaken nor His covenant of peace be removed. May they rest in the fact that the Lord has compassion on them. I sure do! Isaiah 54:10 

Help my children carry the burden of someone else today, taking time to listen to a hurting friend, showing kindness to the lonely, or encouraging the downtrodden with their patience. Galatians 6:2

Help my children understand that it is impossible to go through life without problems. Keep them calm and courageous so they will see that the storms don’t control their destiny, You do. Philippians 1:29, Mark 6:50, Acts 27:25 

Encourage my children to share each other’s problems and troubles. Help them keep each other on the right path being careful not to fall into the same temptations themselves. Give them Your wisdom so they can gently and humbly help others overcome sin. Galatians 6:1-2 

When my children choose to live by Your Spirit, give them a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time so they don’t get dis- couraged and give up. Show them opportunities to do good so they may please You. Galatians 6:8-10
