Let no one deceive my children with persuasive arguments. Give them complete understanding that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ. Knit my children together with strong ties to other believers so they will always abide in You. Colossians 2:2-4
Thank You Lord for loving my children enough to make them miserable in their rebellion… for allowing darkness to follow rebellion… for sometimes we need darkness before we can see the tiny portal of light leading to freedom. Give my children the wisdom to see that Your command to love God above all others is about actions. Love is a verb… They must seek Your presence and Your wisdom through bible study, prayer, and good teachers of Your Word (make me one of those!) so they will be led by the Holy Spirit…
Do not let my children become discouraged by their past mistakes. It’s over! Your word says that you heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Open my children’s hearts so your Spirit may pour into them and get to work. Ps 147:3
